Losing an hour, gaining time

The clocks go forward and we ‘lose’ an hour but actually we’ve gained more time. An oxymoron perhaps but if you look outside it is still light and light means more. More time to do the things you wouldn’t necessarily do in the dark dreariness of the winter months. Light means time to go outside for longer, to get jobs done, it lifts the spirits. Just seeing the sun and the blue sky today lifted a weight off my shoulders.

Although an hour had been lost, I felt like I’d been given two in return.

Once the children are in bed I normally want to hunker down but tonight I just wanted to do.

Spring is here, it is Holy Week which is a final reflection, recollection and the start of the celebration of Easter.
